Richard Ferrari

Richard Ferrari is the Executive Chairman of the Company. Since 2000, Mr. Ferrari has been Managing Director of Denovo Ventures, specializing in Medical Devices and Biotechnology. Mr. Ferrari previously served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PQ Bypass, which culminated in a successful acquisition by Endologix. Mr. Ferrari is Executive Chairman of the Board for Medlumics, S.L.; Vice Chairman of the Board for ABS Interventional; Executive Chairman of the Board for Heart Beam Inc.; a board member of Biomodex Corporation, Retriever Medical Inc., RMx Medical, Hawthorne Effect, Inc., and Hands of Hope; board member and co-founder of TransAortic (acquired by Medtronic); Executive Chairman of Sentreheart (acquired by Atricure), board member of Spinal Modualtion (acquired by St Jude). Mr. Ferrari has raised over $1Billion for the companies he has been involved with and has been a key member of M&A teams, achieving over $2Billion in acquisitions. Mr. Ferrari is a mentor and advisor to CEOs and start-up companies on strategy and building organizations dedicated to delivering excellence. Mr. Ferrari is the creator of Excellence by Choice, a series of lectures and presentations to help early-stage companies perform at the highest level of execution. Mr. Ferrari received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ashland University and an MBA from University of South Florida.

Ben Bobo

Ben Bobo, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer & President, as well as Director of the Company, is a seasoned executive with over 28 years in the medical device and healthcare technology industry. With extensive experience as CEO, CCO, and GM, Ben currently leads Retriever Medical, spearheading the development of thrombectomy devices to treat venous thromboembolism. He demonstrates expertise in fundraising, R&D, manufacturing, and commercial operations. Ben's leadership has been instrumental in the success of startups like Cardio Thoracic Systems (acquired by Guidant) and InnerSpace (acquired by Irras), driving product development, clinical studies, regulatory strategies and fundraising, contributing to their growth. Armed with an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Economics from the University of Utah, Ben combines academic knowledge with practical experience to lead with vision and decisiveness. As an inventor with issued patents and published author, his contributions to medical technology are widely recognized, solidifying his position as a trusted leader in the healthcare sector.

Hieu Le

Hieu Le serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at Retriever Medical, an innovator and product development leader of innovative interventional devices targeting vascular diseases. With over 25 years in developing medical device technologies of which 15 years of it in leading cross-functional teams and organizations to: advance concepts to commercial products, with US and OUS regulatory approvals, and overseeing project timelines and budgets. Hieu holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota, along with an Executive Management Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business. Hieu's core competencies include strategic vision, technology innovation, lean and agile R&D organization, and program management leadership. He has significantly contributed to over 20 new product launches, resulting in over $100M in new revenue, and played a pivotal role in a multi-million-dollar acquisition that propelled annual revenue growth by 40%. Hieu is an inventor on 14 US issued patents and on multiple OUS patents. Hieu is dedicated to promoting and nurturing innovation, driving the transformation of healthcare through the development of groundbreaking ideas and inventions. Prior to Retriever Medical, Hieu held leadership positions at Walk Vascular, Boston Scientific, Bayer HealthCare-Interventional, and Possis Medical.

Steve Morrison

Steve Morrison, Retriever Medical’s acting Chief Financial Officer, is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of diverse experience spanning across multiple industries, including energy, banking, healthcare, technology, retail, manufacturing, and non-profit sectors. Beginning his career as a public company financial and technology auditor, Steve gained valuable insights into organizational operations and value creation processes. Transitioning into internal audit roles, he conducted business process reviews and spearheaded process improvement initiatives. Steve further developed his leadership acumen during nearly a decade in senior positions with electric utilities in Nevada, North Carolina, and Arizona. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Steve has been actively involved in several startup ventures throughout his career, demonstrating his passion for innovation and business development.

Dr. Brandon Repko

Brandon Repko, MD serves as Chief Scientific Officer for ClotHound and is a dedicated professional specializing in Vascular Interventional Medicine and Interventional Oncology at Butler Memorial Hospital. With over 13 years of experience in this field, Brandon has established himself as a respected expert in his domain. He completed his Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis and his Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Penn State College of Medicine. Brandon's skill set includes healthcare management, vascular expertise, and a keen interest in advancing medical interventions. He is highly regarded by his peers, as evidenced by endorsements from colleagues at Independence Health System - Butler/Clarion Area. Brandon's commitment to excellence and passion for improving patient outcomes make him an invaluable asset to the medical community.

Dr. Martin Zielinski

Dr. Martin Zielinski, MD, FACS, holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Blood Genie and stands as a distinguished leader in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Currently, he serves as the Chief of the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Zielinski embarked on his illustrious career with undergraduate and medical education at the University of Minnesota, followed by residency training in Gastrointestinal and General Surgery, and fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN. Committed to advancing trauma care, he has pioneered groundbreaking research in areas like small bowel obstruction management and innovative blood products for hemorrhage resuscitation. Dr. Zielinski's impactful contributions are evident through his extensive publications in leading medical journals and active involvement in esteemed professional organizations, including the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, his dedication to excellence is further demonstrated by his role on the board of directors of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), solidifying his status as a highly respected figure in the medical community.

Michael Horowitz

Dr. Michael Horowitz is Founder and serves as a Director of the Company. A distinguished neurosurgeon with a wealth of expertise in both general neurosurgery and endovascular neurointerventional surgery. Board certified in neurological surgery and CAST certified in endovascular neurosurgery, Dr. Horowitz's clinical practice encompasses a wide range of neurological conditions including vascular neurology, stroke, cranial nerve disorders, brain tumors, aneurysms, and hydrocephalus. With a strong academic background, he has authored numerous publications and holds several patents for devices aimed at enhancing the treatment of cerebral aneurysms, ischemic strokes, and other vascular conditions. As Chief Scientific Officer for Cerenetex, LLC, and a founding partner for both Retriever, LLC and Ancure, Dr. Horowitz is at the forefront of medical innovation. Recognized as a Top Doctor by various publications, he is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients and advancing the field of neurosurgery.
